Anchored by the Clinton Presidential Park Bridge in downtown and the Big Dam Bridge further west, the River Trail offers over 17 miles of river view, which runs along both the north and south banks of the Arkansas River. There are five pedestrian and bicycle bridges connected to the River Trail, making Little Rock the only city in the country with five pedestrian bridges that stretch over a navigable body of water. The trail is a must-see for visiting cyclists, hikers and outdoor enthusiasts.
Little Rock, Arkansas’s Boyle Park contains a total of eight known examples of Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) construction, all of which were built during the mid-1930s. These include five buildings -- two pavilions, a spring house, a caretaker's cabin, and the remains of the water tower/pump house/garage -- as well as three structures: a low water bridge and two culverts. All were built in the Rustic style popular for CCC construction throughout the state.
Lake Hamilton is one of Arkansas' most popular recreational & residential lakes, located on the southern edge of Hot Springs. The lake is ringed w/resorts, restaurants, private homes & marinas where you can rent any manner of watercraft. Arkansas' 2 top record-breaking striped bass were caught here. Garvan Woodland Gardens is situated on a peninsula along the coastline & is accessible by boat.
